Rich 75

Rich 75

The French 75 is arguably the perfect party cocktail. It's bright and bold but also accessible and very refreshing. And it's easy to make and really packs a punch, like the small pistol from which it gets its name.

We use Rich Simple Syrup in our Rich 75 for two reasons: (1) Syrup dissolves more easily into the mix, which helps preserve some of the bubbles; and (2) its 2:1 ratio of sugar:water means less water in your glass.

To make a large batch for a party, simply multiply the recipe below by 4, 5, 6, (or more?), set out your glasses and pre-garnish, stir or shake the first 3 ingredients with ice, and fill each glass halfway with the mix, topping up with Prosecco.

We like the bright flavors of Uncle Val's Botanical Gin for this one, though any quality gin should suffice.

INGREDIENTS:

1 oz. Uncle Val's Botanical Gin

.5 oz. Fresh Lemon Juice

.5 oz. Eli Mason Rich Simple Syrup

2 oz. Prosecco

Shake or stir the first three ingredients with ice and double-strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with the Prosecco and garnish with a lemon twist or fresh raspberry for color.
